BEACH CITY SHOPPING GUIDE

Happy Thursday everyone! It's my last day here in California, and I'm using today to pack in all the last minute things I haven't gotten a chance to do yet! I've had a chance to explore the local downtowns of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach. I believe in supporting and shopping the local economy (small business Saturday is November 30!) and I've put together a guide of some of my favorite local shops for your next visit to the beach cities!

My best advice is to rent a beach cruiser from Hermosa Cyclery and start your day in Hermosa Beach. Bikes are available to rent for $9 an hour, or $27 for the day.  Then go south to Redondo Beach, or north to Manhattan Beach. All 3 are within an afternoon's walk of each other, too!

1. Gum Tree Shop & Cafe; 239 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA
This shop is a must go. Gum Tree carries everything from colorful kitchen cutlery to Dogeared charm necklaces. The small bungalow-style shop is right on mainstreet, just up the hill on Pier Ave. This shop has an amazing, overwhelming selection of SoCal inspired layering bracelets! I'm grabbing up a few for future arm parties!

2. Still Curious...;128 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA
"Sexy people need sexy furniture". Although this shop doesn't have an up-and-running website, it's worth checking out when you're in town. Right down the hill from Gum Tree, Still Curious... has beach-themed home decor, quirky books and stationary, and deliciously scented candles. The best part? All of the prices include tax-no extra calculating at the register!

3. Spyder Surf II; 65 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA
Carrying well-known brands like Billabong, Roxy, and Vans (both women's and men's!) Spyder II is the ultimate surf shop. Weather you're looking for the perfect bikini or just looking to browse, Spyder II is the perfect spot. Bonus: it's literally steps from the beach!

4. Manhattan Denim; 920 Manhattan Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA
If you're a denim lover like me and are always on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans, Manhattan Denim is thee place for you. Two of my favorite denim brands-Citizens of Humanity and Hudson jeans are sold here, as well as other brands like Alternative Apparel and LA Made.

5. Katwalk; 312 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA
This cute shop is located in the bustling downtown and is a great place for casual dresses, bohemian tops, and funky sweaters. This shop is also great for that fashionista that doesn't want to drain her bank account on a few trendy items.

Happy shopping! Let me know if anyone has any other recommendations on where to shop!
